The Yoga Den FAQs
Do I have to be flexible to practice yoga?
You must be flexible to practice yoga is a HUGE misconception. Yoga practitioners are not naturally flexible, yoga builds your flexibility. If you stretch your body on a regular basis, you will become more and more flexible than you are today. “USE IT OR LOSE IT!”
How often should I go to class?
As with anything you do, the more you practice the deeper and more benefits you shall receive. I would recommend to practice 2-4 classes per week, however just incorporating 1 power yoga class in with other forms of exercise you may do will still bring amazingly beautiful and healing benefits to you. If your schedule doesn’t allow for a full 60-90 minute practice class, try to add in 15-20 minutes of yoga flow on your own whenever you can. This has proven to be extremely beneficial inside and out!
What should I wear? What should I bring?
Wear workout clothing and enter the studio with your bare feet (shoes and belongings can be stored in cubbies upon entering studio room). Please refrain from wearing strong perfumes or colognes to class.
How do I prepare for a great class?
Come to The Yoga Den hydrated, with water, a towel and your mat. Be prepared to sweat!
Things to Know.
Refrain from eating large meals 2-3 hours before class. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early. Studio door locks when the class begins. Please Turn off or silence your cell phone before entering studio. Advise your instructor of any physica or medical conditions and/or recent surgeries. Please do not leave during Savasana as this pose seals your practices and totally balances your energy. ENJOY YOURSELF! Be light, free and easy.
